Tata Harrier EV has come with new keys. But not only the keys have changed, the complete hire has changed here and this hire is old and different from the one that came with the EV. Premium design of Harrier EV
It looks quite mature, quite bulky, like a normal SUV. It is not much different from a normal SUV, is a very futuristic design, cannot be called aerodynamic. But in terms of space, let’s talk about the inside, before that how does it look from the side.
Side profile, you get nineteen inch alloy wheels with tyres of two forty five, fifty five profiles. These steel wheels have a covering over them to give a slightly different design element. The wheel arch is quite good and you also get a cladding on this arch.
There is no major change in the ground clearance. Here you get OEM which has a camera along with indicators. The glass area is large, a small roof rail is also present here and the recoil sensor is placed on this side. Let’s talk about the rear now, because there is no major change when viewed from the side, only some hooks are visible.
If you come down a little, you will find a spoiler, high mount stop lamp and defogger wiper. Connecting lamps are good and bright too. Harrier EV’s badging has been given in black colour. Camera is also present here along with the new 2D logo. Parking sensors are present.
Overall, it looks good. I especially like the light and the touch of the camera. Not a little, you get a boot space of 502 liters. And even after that, you have been given a stepney here, which we call a spare wheel.
How much space you get in Harrier EV
However, this is a space saver, designed for speeds up to 80 kmph and here you get it of 80″ length. Paster self is also present, well covered, electronic. You can also close it with a button. There is so much space in it that you can carry three large suitcases, a medium size and two bags.
In my opinion, there is a lot of scope for a family outing, because now the company itself says that they have deleted a lot of things. Deleted means they have deleted anxiety, they have deleted boundaries. They say that now you don’t need to be afraid of boundaries. And this is true.
When you get a 75kw battery pack, the company expects that you will get a range of 480 km to 505 km and in my opinion, that is quite good. There is a frunk in the front, in which you can keep charger and other things.
Apart from this, there is no extra space to keep any other luggage. That is, there is definitely no space for a big bag here. The well is covered, on top as well as here so that there is no possibility of any hard touch. However, the space for filling fluids etc. for service has been provided here properly.
Harrier EV power and Range details
Now let me talk to you about its power figures. You get 235 bhp power, 304nm torque, in boost mode it reaches 342nm. The company says that it reaches 0 to 100 in just 6.3. Now if we talk about how much range it will give, then the company has indicated that it can give a range of 480 to 505 kilometers. But practically, let’s tell you in the drive.
If you talk about the interior of Tata Harrier EV, first of all it is eye catching, fourteen and half inch ultimate quality, ultimate quality Q LED display. Film screen, TV screen, nothing beyond this, it is really very good, at least in terms of quality.
Apart from this, you also get a screen here through which you can see the rear view and about 6 hours of recording can be done on it. Isn’t it amazing?
Yes, now let’s talk about this finish which is a white texture in carbon fiber. A little soft material has been used here. This is another texture which is with piano finish and soft material here.
Touch based controls for climate control are also available here, and there is dual zone climate control, one for the stiff and one for the stiff. Ventilated seats are present here. And on this side you have buttons for adaptive cruise controls, here for lights, here for wipers, and in the front you get a ten point two five inch digital instrument cluster, in which you have the side display here and in the front you get navigation as well.
Apart from this, features like tyre pressure monitor system are available. The screen quality itself is good and it is so good that you will notice it at a glance. Yes, good material has been used here as well. Overall, what I noticed is that Tata has used quality material very well. No mirror has been used here. Why? God knows. Whereas mirror with light has been provided here.
It would have been better if they had given it. Overall, the controls of OEM are placed on the pillar here while the controls of the door panel are present above the door.
Tech features of Harrier EV
The steering is for both reach and rack options. Re clutch and tilt are also present in it. And apart from this, you have been given a sixty-five watt, 45W charger at the front and 65W at the rear below. A Type USB port is also present, there is a USB attached to it and here you get a big glove box in which there is a lot of space.
For the first time, the company has provided you with excellent quality keys which have a completely different look and these are the keys which are given in a very fancy, very stylish design and they also help you in park assist. They have been designed for this purpose.
And here you are also provided with a cooled glove box. It is small in size but still all the necessary things are available. On top you get a big panoramic sunroof and it is panoramic. The good thing is that you can open it as well.
Yes, one of the best fancy features that I found is this one control IRVM where you can also take notes on the recording and I feel like loving this touch screen as it is really of good quality. Also, you get a speaker setup from Harman.
Premium music system
The music system is from Harman in which Samsung’s Q LED has been used. Apart from this, nine JBL black speaker systems have been used to manage this entire music system. I cannot tell you the sound quality right now, you can understand the reason but overall my experience here is quite better and elevated.
These are electrically powered seats and there is a good amount of space here. Talking about the rear seat, it is adjusted according to my driving seat. It has also been contoured a bit so that you can get more space. The leg room is okay.
If the seat was a little higher, there would have been more space. There is a place to keep the mobile here. Not one but two chargers of 65 watts are available. Leave aside the mobile, you can charge the laptop as well, it is a great place. The seat is cushioned in the middle while this one is along the contour.
You get wings in the headrest in which you can do hand knocking and these are adjustable wings. The good thing is that they are not fixed. You can adjust them more if you are in the mood to sleep more or spread them out if you are in the mood to sleep less so that it becomes more comfortable for you, you can decide this.
This is another plus point that I am noticing which has not been mentioned in any presentation. Under thigh support is also good. Overall it is a good place. The company has also provided privacy curtain here and due to this the person sitting here will definitely notice some privacy.
Overall it is a good seat. Yes, if ventilation option was available on this seat also. Yes, one more thing comes with wash function. You can adjust this seat according to your convenience, forward and backward. This is another plus point. And at least it should have been there with SUV of this segment.
Price of Harrier EV
The company has just announced the introductory price, which is Rs 21,51000, that too in the lower range. However, we are still hoping that the rest of the pricing will be announced soon. Its booking will start from July month and hopefully its deliveries will also start just before Diwali.
