10.Volkswagen

At the tenth spot is Volkswagen with sales of 15,691 units in the first half of 2025 as against 16,137 units sold in 2024.

That is, a slight decline of two point seventy six percent. Volkswagen’s vehicles like Tigun and Virtus are in the premium segment and their performance is excellent.

At number nine is Honda, which sold 20,946 units in the first five months of 2025, while in 2024 this figure was 20,730. That is, a growth of just 1.04 percent.

Skoda surprised everyone this time by leaving Honda and MG behind. The launch of their Calak SUV has brought new life to the market. Skoda vehicles, such as Kushaq and Slavia, are known for their solid build and premium feel.

6.KIA

In the sixth place is Kia, which sold 1,21,496 units in the first half of 2025, while in 2024 this figure was 1,4837. That is, a growth of 15.89 percent.

Kia’s SUVs like Seltos and Sonet are being liked a lot in the Indian market. In May 2025, Kia sold 22,315 units, in which their new car Ans Clavis also contributed a lot. Kia’s cars are feature loaded, such as sunroof, ventilated seats and 360 degree camera.

5.Toyota

At number five is Toyota, which sold one lakh thirty five thousand seventy eight units in the first half of 2025.

1. Maruti Suzuki

And now it is the turn of number one, i.e. Maruti Suzuki. Maruti sold 7 lakh 69 thousand 100 units in the first half of 2025, while in 2024 this figure was 7 lakh 61 thousand 746.

That is a slight decline of 0.26 percent. Still Maruti is the uncrowned king of the Indian car market. Their cars like Dzire, Swift and Brezza remain in the list of top sellers every month.

Maruti’s strength is its affordable price, excellent mileage and service network spread across the country. Maruti cars are for every class, be it a taxi driver or a family.
